Semaphore Alphabet

This week we are reviewing for the TAKS test coming up. To help with angles, the class used the semaphore alphabet to spell out their names. After spelling out their names, they had to figure out what angle the arms were making. The students had fun creating little people for their letters and I enjoyed watching them use their imagination while learning.

Geometric Figures

The students worked hard to create geometric figures out of paper. They were able to convey to me what the vertices, edges, and faces were and how many each figure had. The class did an AWESOME job!

Open House

We had a GREAT turnout at the open house tonight! I really enjoyed talking, laughing and hanging out with the parents and of course the students!! There was of course the random, blinding light that would come out from nowhere just when you were making the BEST face ever! - I am talking about our wonderful and very talented (I might add) photographer. What would we ever do without those types of memories!
